DIAMOND DIARY: Berets, Bins & Big Ideas

Dear Diamond Diary...

The temperature’s dropped just enough to justify every slightly unhinged layering choice I’ve been dreaming about all summer. Berets are officially back in rotation (as if they ever weren't).

Faux fur has made its seasonal debut and I’ve been styling like the world’s ending tomorrow, which is actually quite possible. So fuck it. Tartan skirts over trousers, double corsets, safety pins shoved straight through a poofy dress. It’s the season of excess and I’m here for it.

This week’s looks include:

• £8 cashmere coat from a chazza

• Leopard platform chonkers

• Two tartan skirt-over-trouser moments (controversial?)

• Faux fur and leather trousers for that crunchy leaf-core vibe

• And yes, two corsets over a tulle dress, because obviously.

Meanwhile, my inner Trash Goblin™ has re-emerged. I hit the prop houses, did my first 'bin bag' haul and now have a pile of questionable finds that I’m about to whip up into full looks.

There’s a mourning jacket whispering its spooky little secrets to me from across the room, and a padded vest that may or may not be protective gear or some kind of cursed flotation device. We’ll find out.

Oh and I may have got slightly carried away with graphics and inspo for DIY jackets I haven’t even started yet. But that’s half the fun, isn’t it? My new stencils just landed and I’m gearing up to attack the salvaged blazers with paint, patches, and probably some sharp objects.

The pinstripe one is up first. If it ends up looking like it belongs to a punk lawyer on trial for arson, I’ll consider it a win. Started with visuals because Moodboard's are an integral part of my process and god damn i love 'em.

Feeling creative. Feeling chaotic. Looking forward to a week of DIY drama.
