DIAMOND DIARY: Boots, Bolongaro & Branding

ree

Dear Diamond Diary...

This week’s entry feels like a collision of contrasts: high street nostalgia meets DIY rebellion, interior design briefs meet spray-paint splatters.

Here’s what made it in:

Inpo 💡

I’ve been diving deep into graphic fashion with clothes that shout, layer, and disrupt. Pieces that act more like posters than garments! Think safety pins, screenprints, and slogans.

Shopping 🛍️

My obsession with early 2010s All Saints spiraled into an internet deep dive and thanks to one of you, I discovered Bolongaro Trevor: the brand launched by the original All Saints designer. The Sex Pistols influence is clear and it makes me want to dig EVEN deeper into how punk legacy threads through contemporary fashion. Although....this seems to be an every day quest of mine without even trying!

Commercial 👩🏻‍🎨

On the other end of the spectrum: I’m still sourcing flooring for my main interior design client. The palette is concrete, microcement, timber. Industrial, tactile and timeless. A reminder that sometimes commercial styling is as much about restraint as excess.

Community 👯‍♀️

Your comments always make my week. From goth nostalgia to Scooby Doo comparisons, you remind me fashion is at its best when it’s a conversation.

DIY 🔨

Finally, my own brand is evolving fast! I’m working on the guidelines, mission, colour palette and more. Plus, a huge announcement is brewing: access to my wardrobe. Some of my most coveted pieces will soon be available to hire.

If there’s one theme this week, it’s layers. Layers of paint, fabric, memory, community. Styling isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about stacking meaning on meaning until something powerful emerges.

Until next week,

xM💎
