Dear Diamond Diary...
This week has been a mix of grit, glamour and graft.
I spent time styling a project for Instant Bleeds with infamous tattoo artist Grace Neutral, building bespoke pieces out of leather and tattoo needles, watching how someone else’s vision comes alive when you hand over an object you’ve crafted. There’s a real satisfaction in the moment you see it shift from material into meaning!
Interior design has been another thread running through my week: materials moodboards of concrete, zinc, and timber – balancing brutal surfaces with pockets of planting. I love the tension between raw industrial finishes and the softness of greenery. It feels very close to the way I style fashion too – always negotiating structure and vulnerability.
OOTDs got their spotlight (you lot loved the minimal 'Rick Owens' kind of vibe crop + wide leg combo, and yes, the beret has officially made its seasonal return). Meanwhile, my shopping and sourcing adventures were more about inspiration than acquisition this week – its taking all my strength not to make a reckless bid on Jamie Reid’s infamous “God Save the Queen” artwork at auction. In Oxfam i found a cool photographic book on 1980s Germany which had some great images for inspo and of course, there has been endless Margiela bag lusting.
I’m realising more and more that the Diamond Diary isn’t just about cataloguing what I’ve done, it’s about showing how every corner of my creative life informs the other. Subculture, interiors, styling, design – it’s all part of the same current.
Until next week,
xM💎
