A Week in Outfits 👗

Well obviously the Koi boots were the stars.

My favourite outfit had to be my bday ensemble with the tartan corset top and the tulle skirt. It felt like such a super fun outfit that transitioned really easily from day to night.

Always find dressing in really hot weather more of a challenge than the winter wardrobe! I try to add accessories wherever I can - my chain and padlock always give a boring outfit a bit of my personality.

Insta Hits 40k 🍾

This week my instagram hit 40,000 followers which is both surreal and exciting. Big thank you to everyone who’s followed, shared, or supported my work along the way. Growing a platform while staying creatively independent is no small thing, and I’m SO grateful to have an audience that’s here for the experimentation as much as the polished work.

Projects 👩🏻‍🎨 

Finally finished the huge pinboard in the studio - will post the content this week! I’m having a huge clear out so I’ll be hosting a drop in sesh within the next month, more details on that soon, too.

My main reason for clearing out is that I want to start designing and making my own pieces (if you’ve been following for a while you may have noticed me talking about this!). I created the huge pinboard so I can start to map out my ideas and be really visual with my design process. My first piece will be for an exhibition starting in September.

As well as garment design, I also started creating digital graphics as a way of expressing my bigger, messier thoughts. Feels really good to channel emotion into art.

Sourcing🔎 

Had a great trip to Lineapelle (leather expo) in Soho too, some really cool leathers and hardware - don’t even bother trying to keep me away from the animal print!!!

Faves include Ronald Van Der Kamp (monochrome power dressing - 10/10 would wear).

And of course the collection everyone is OBSESSED with: Glenn Martens for Margiela. So good it makes me feel a bit sick. Patchwork, decaying patina’d wallpaper, reclaimed tin boxes as masks and glowing, glittering spectral garments. Gothic & glorious.
