Huge news!!!
I've just finished renovating my old Weaver’s Cottage. Restoring it piece by piece, I’ve created pretty much everything you can see from the open plan ground floor living space to the individual artworks.
As an Interior Designer i’m used to the process but as well as a project, this has also been my personal home, studio and sanctuary - those that know me well will know it’s been a very tough but very rewarding journey!
The Weaver's Cottage is a house with so much interesting industrial history (it used to belong to a silk weaver called Abraham Kennerley!) so I really wanted to do it justice. The interior has been updated for sure, but with my own personality & spin. Most of the decor is handmade, you won't find it anywhere else. There are quirky curios, antiques and bespoke artworks, all with a little nod to the story of the house - a common 'thread' shall we say. 🧵
I'm super happy to say I am now opening The Weavers Cottage for ‘whole house’ bookings via Airbnb.
Check out the video walkthrough to see the whole shebang - the top Garret room (originally for the silk looms) is my absolute favourite!
