RESIDENTIAL INTERIORS

From farmouses and period properties to large scale luxury homes, Millie creates timeless, storytelling spaces that are Bespoke (with a capital 'B')!

Millie's designs really pack a punch and she love to create talking points with your brief as the inspiration, whether you're looking renovating a period property, looking for a bespoke concept, finding a forever home or aiming for a competition busting Airbnb.

Clients pick her for her unique perspective and mixture of experience and passion for old buildings, interesting people and quirky details.

RECLAIMED & RUSTIC

A quirky, historic property within a small farming village in the Staffordshire moorlands. Millie created a space that was light, bright and interesting, but still in keeping with the traditional and layered architectural features of the room including beams, low ceilings, feature fireplace and quarry tiled floor.

A  bespoke wall of individually sourced antique and reclaimed objects was carefully curated in a nod to the house's heritage.

The objects included a 100 year old grain scoop, a reclaimed soil riddler and a large pair of French agricultural hoists.

The client loved the idea of unusual and reclaimed objects so we created a shelving display with a beautiful old antique ladder.

The mixture of old and new, organic and man made materials made the space feel in keeping with the heritage, but still contemporary.

The original and character features of this property were prominent so we worked them into the scheme. The properties name reference farming so we added subtle nods with softer materials like hides and sheepskins, and the little brass cows on the mantlepiece.

VINTAGE VIBES

A boy's bedroom with a vibrant vintage twist! Millie took a dark and outdated bedroom packed with toys and nowhere to store them, and transformed it into a light, bright space full of colour and intrigue.

Giving the bedroom an injection of colour with a soft green half height wall and bespoke, hand painted antique furniture to brought the look bang up to date.

Objects, storage and artworks were a mixture of vintage and contemporary, with an old architectural feature providing the perfect secret hiding place behind a hinged picture frame. Shhhhhh!

Millie created more fun, more storage and a cohesive scheme for a creative boy. A timeless space, sure to be loved and cherished for many years to come!

RAW & RURAL

A quirky, historic property within a small farming village in the Staffordshire Moorlands. This was a challenging project with regards to space planning as nooks & crannies, beams, low ceilings and an unusual layout required forward thinking and creative solutions.

The family had both British and South African heritage, a thread woven through the design alongside nods to the exceptionally beautiful rural surroundings and traditional and layered architectural features of the house.

Using visually interesting antique and handmade objects and artworks, Millie built on these layers to weave the family's own story into the house's rich history.

As well as full decor and furnishing, a detailed, bespoke bookcase was designed to house a formerly overwhelming number of books in a way that was contemporary and space efficient.

GRAPHIC COLOUR POP

Bright, graphic and modern with a monochromatic colour scheme and a pop of colour.

Using a colourblocking feature to gave the room heaps of personality and a combination of new and vintage furniture with accent hand painted antique pieces to give a modern feel with a little nod to times gone by.

A fun, bespoke gallery wall, and a lovingly restored, funky resprayed fireplace gave this kid's room depth using bold prints and bright colour.

With practicality as priority, a storage bed was the perfect place for excess toys and games. The other furnishings were sprayed to match the monochromatic scheme and add a unique touch!
